One of the foundational values and guiding principles in my life is contribution. To that end, I donate 5 percent of my earnings from coaching to one of three organizations that are doing meaningful and impactful work in the world. Currently they are; Vine Sanctuary, The Food Empowerment Project, and Buddhist Global Relief
VINE Sanctuary provides a haven for animals who have escaped or been rescued from the meat, dairy and egg industries or other abusive circumstances, such as cockfights or pigeon-shoots. Sanctuary residents include chickens, cows, ducks, doves, geese, pigeons, sheep, emus, and even a few parakeets. We work within an ecofeminist understanding of the interconnection of all life and the intersection of all forms of oppression.
Food Empowerment Project’s (F.E.P.) goal is to raise awareness about how our food choices can change the world. By making informed choices, we can prevent injustices against animals, people, and the environment. We also work to discourage negligent corporations from pushing unhealthy foods into low-income areas and empower people to make healthier choices by growing their own fruits and vegetables. In all of our work, the Food Empowerment Project seeks specifically to empower those with the fewest resources.
BGR projects are designed to provide direct food aid to people afflicted by hunger and malnutrition, to promote ecologically sustainable agriculture, to support the education of girls and women, and to give women an opportunity to start right livelihood projects to support their families
